A series of photos that I took recently as the sun was setting over Lago di Bolsena.
It was so wonderful to be able to watch this sunset. However many times I witness this scene it never ceases to impress me.
I am linking to four other sites today to share these images with other lovers of the great beauty of Mother Nature.

Beautiful photos and makes me yearn for my holiday in four weeks in Spain where I hope to be seeing plenty of sunsets. Though I'm not sure they will be as gorgeous as the ones you have managed to capture. Thanks so much for you lovely comment by the way. x
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Very mediterranean. I can almost feel the heat. We simply never see anything like that here in the UK.
ReplyDeleteAmazing colours! Hopefully in less than 24 hours I will admire your same sunset and breathe your same air (almost) :-)

very beautiful, such subtle colors. ciao Lisa
ReplyDeleteYour photos are spectacular! Thank you for transporting me to your world. It's beautiful. ♥
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! I particularly like the first and fourth ones. The first one has tremendously rich earthy colors and the setting sun on the right is balanced by the island in the lake. The fourth one is very vibrant and the large sun is very impressive and powerful. The last one almost looks like the sun is winking as it "turns in" for the night!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I love sunsets. These are paintings in the making. I want to melt right into them. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm already noticing that the days are beginning to get shorter....fare thee well summer!
ReplyDeleteThese are truly beautiful lake/sunset photos--wonderful!!!! SOOOOOO magical!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind comment--I can't believe they just packed everything up. We're still here for another month and are already considering positions to come back, though!! Luckily, we have 4 more weeks here & I still have over a year's worth of photos (I take a TON!) to share even when I'm back in the States.
I'll definitely be keeping up with your blog for a beautiful Italy fix!!!!
Hugs/blessings,
Lana

Hi Linda, these picutures are so beautiful and romantic. I'm actually quite jealous (in a nice way) since I cannot remember the last time I've seen a lovely sunset like that. London isn't exactly the right place for that... I hope you are well and it's still summery (is that an actual word?) in Italy. Have a good weekend, Love from London xo
