World Nutella Day

World Nutella Day

For lots more interesting information do follow the link above which will take you to another Blog I follow Bleeding Espresso which is written by Michelle Fabio.

While I wanted to show my support to  World Nutella Day I am also wondering if I am alone in not liking
Tartine et pot de Nutella.jpg
Please let me know what you think of Nutella?

Maybe it is a LOVE or HATE relationship like the famous product (well in the UK market it is) Marmite

I LOVE MARMITE! Maybe that just means I do not have an incredibly sweet tooth if I prefer this savoury spread in preference to NUTELLA.
                                   HAPPY NUTELLA DAY

  1. I love Marmite too, in fact all my family do :-) cannot buy enough of it. I too, do not have a very sweet tooth BUT once in a blue moon I will have Nutella.. I used to eat it a lot when I lived in Germany, years ago!

I have a jar in the cupboard for the grandchildren :-)

  2. I can't comment on Nutella, as I have never tried it, but I do like Marmite.

  3. I'm with you & cannot understand the fuss with nutella, but love Michelle's posts on it. My worse nightmare is biting into a chocolate croissant.

  4. Nutella, no thanks, apart from disliking the taste I believe it's quite unhealthy. We are a Vegemite household, like Marmite but according to husband different and much better.

  5. To each her own! I think if you don't have much of a sweet tooth, Nutella probably doesn't do it for you...I rather hate salty, which means Marmite (and Vegemite) are both rather unappealing to me. Whatever soothes those cravings, I say! Thanks for the shout out :)

  6. I should add, though, that if you haven't had Nutella *in* Italy, you really should...the recipe is different here than elsewhere, and in my opinion, *MUCH* better than it is in the US, for instance.

  7. Thanks to you all for your thoughts on Nutella and of course Marmite.

I was only to pleased to give you a shout out today Michelle for World Nutella Day.

It does appear that our cravings are divided between Sweet and Savoury.

However I do crave plain chocolate!

  9. Linda, I am here to throw a spanner in the works, because I like Nutella. Funnily enough, I didn't like it as a child but I often find myself spreading copious amounts on a slice of bread. Plus I am a big fan of the Aussie savoury spread Vegemite. I believe it is not as strong as Marmite, but I haven't tried Marmite for about 10 years!

  14. Happy Nutella Day? We always have it in the house. Although I don't like it, the kids eat it for breakfast, so I always try to make sure we don't run out. It's a strange coincidence, but on Nutella Day we did!

  15. Just loved this post... coming from SITS. Random, but are you going to Bloggy Boot Camp in Baltimore?

  16. I'm not much of a nutella fan either and hate when I think I am having something chocolate and it turns out to be nutella.  As bad as in the states where chocolate will be 'flavored' with coffee.  Chocolate can stand alone and doesn't need enhancements!

  17. Anne: Italian dark chocolate is delicious.

Louise: I am sure your children had no idea it was Nutella Day though!

Kat and Martha: Thanks for dropping by and commenting. Baltimore no, rather a long way from Italy.
