Friday Photo - Wintry Weather and Japonica Buds.

Copyright All rights reserved by LindyLouMac Photo Collection

The cold weather we have been experiencing has certainly not stopped the Japonica buds from opening. This collage was made from photos taken in and from our garden during the last ten days.

I have yet to reply to all your kind words of encouragement in your responses to my last post Blogging, Photography, Reading. If I am going to carry on with News From Italy I think I will concentrate on the photographic aspect of our everyday life more than ever.

With this in mind I am reviving my Friday Photo which I first started posting here last March, only now I have decided to spell Photo correctly no more phonetics!

Have a good weekend everyone.

  2. I like the colours of the blooms against the greyness of the winter landscapes.

  3. Interesting to see buds out already in your garden. I wonder what it happening in my garden? Frustrating that I have to wait until the end of March to find out. Diane

  5. Lovely photos (I always used to spell that as photoes, until my daughter told me it was incorrect! I still think my spelling looks better!)and, yes, as you enjoy your photography, that would be a good idea for your Blog. Lovely to see the buds appearing. Think we will have to wait a little longer to see that here in England. Bitterly cold here again today.

  7. Oh how beautiful. I am so longing for fresh flowers and green grass. The brown/gray of winter really dampens my spirit and this year with so much snow it seems even worse. Your photos are lovely.

  10. Dear friend, my apologies for my long absence from this place ... but I'm so glad to be here now (and feel like I'm "home"... how odd, huh?) I love these photos - they are so lovely. Really ... so so beautiful. Helps me focus on the little things - the little beautiful things - and exactly what I need right now.

  11. Beautiful photo's! I know how you feel about blogging. I have my days as well wondering if I should continue. I think I would miss the blogger community too much if I did. I love your posts on Italy. They have made us want to visit Italy and we may next year to celebrate our 40th. I will visit your other two blogs, but maybe you will reconsider just posting a few posts now and then on your life in Italy. I have enjoyed them completely! Thank you, Susan :)

  12. I love your photos of this flower, though I am not sure if we have them here. I can resist anything but flowers, when I walk into a flower shop...they will be very happy with all the buying from me :)
