Saturday Snapshots - Sunbathing Lizard

Photos taken in our garden last Saturday afternoon!

Anyone else besides Louise from  A View From Carmine Superiore  spot the other reptile?
Have a lovely weekend my friends wherever you are in the world and what ever you are doing.

  1. I am such a city girl, I don't like all reptiles, things that crawl, etc. :-))

  2. Beautiful photos, beautiful creature. There's a lot of the sunbathing lizard in me, sadly it's raining here and forecast to continue over the weekend. Enjoy yours.

  4. Wow, that's a fantastic lizard! Beautiful markings and colours! The lizards you see here in Florida are small and they are chamelion and there are lots and lots of them. I am sure that there are lots of other types, but the small chameleons are the only ones I see.

  7. How beautiful! Last year I had a tiny baby lizard in the bathroom, in Italy: watching the tiny, perfectly formed creature was such a joy! We also had a baby gekko in the living room: wonderful!

I love reptiles: they are very beautiful creatures, which are part of daily life in Italy. We spend hours, some evening, watching gekkos, hunting little flies and sometimes "things" which you think may not even fit inside their mouths... but they do! I can't wait to see the gekkos on our terrace and marvel once again at the beauty of the sleepy lizards!
Thank you! "What a wonderful world!"

  8. Good photos of that little reptile there! Lovely markings and colouring. Unfortunately, it's not hot enough in my part of the world to see creatures like that! Hope your weekend is going well.
