Skywatch – September Full Moon

Skywatch Friday

The beautiful view of the Moon from the lakeside at Marta on the evening of September 13th.

This last photo was actually taken on the night of the Full Moon September 12th, but I think the moon photos low over the lake, the following evening are much more interesting, although unfortunately I did not have such a good camera with me, so the quality is not brilliant.

What do you think which is your favourite?

Wishing you all a pleasant weekend and do take a minute or two to enjoy the sky.

  1. I like the third one best even though I am drawn to a very full moon. It's not so dark so you still see the color from the plants against the deep deep blue of the sky. Nice composition.

  7. Oh wow, wish my camera could take photos like this. I have tried the moon several times but it is just a disaster. Thought you were away as you put no comment on my 10 BW! Have a good weekend. Diane x

  9. My favourites are the second and third...I cannot possibly choose between those two, as they are equally gorgeous! Truly, these are among the most beautiful moon captures I've ever seen! The red roses and softly lit up buildings in the distance add such a romantic touch! What magnificent sights you get to behold on a regular basis!

  10. Lindy, ciao...

I like the picture with the oleanders in the foreground because it's ever so romantic and also because I can "smell" it and i can "hear" all the Italian Summer night sounds right here, inside my head and my heart. I am missing home, at the moment.

    Thank you Lindy!

    Con affetto

  18. That last photo is beautifully clear, but I loved seeing the orange moon. Even if the quality was not so good, it was still quite a sight!

  35. Love your photos. I have a question. What is the ray of light at the bottom of picture 3, is that the light of the moon reflecting in the water or a flash catching something?
