One of my favourite ways to relax and unwind is to take a walk or a cycle ride in the countryside that we are lucky enough to be surrounded by. I can either take off in the direction of the lake and Marta, or if I head in the other direction it takes me into the network of lanes that lead nowhere in particular but deeper into the countryside above the lake where there are outlying properties.
The photographs I am sharing today are scenes from one such walk that I took last week, on the last day of March in fact when I actually remembered to take my camera with me.
As usual when I have my camera with me I tend to be snap happy and take rather too many shots, once taken I am then not very good at deleting them so this is just a small selection of the eighty eight photos I took! If you want to see more they can be viewed at My Flickr account in the album entitled Spring Walk March 2011
I can see this field from the house and have been watching it gradually turning a golden yellow.

What a beautiful day it was and I returned home feeling so much more cheerful after some fresh air and exercise.
Fresh air and sunshine are certainly good for this soul. I am spending a lot more time outside again now it is Spring and there is plenty to occupy me in the garden.
Oh, how I would love your "neighborhood!" Wonderful pictures and I can see how it is good for your soul. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreat photographs and I can see how it would improve your body and soul to walk or cycle in with that glorious scenery.
ReplyDeleteYou asked about my badge, no I don't have one anymore Susan at BNOTP made me one but I cannot find the HTML, I do have the photographs she used!!
Wow what wonderful things to see on your walk. Thanks for sharing. I love the scenes of the water. Hope you are having a good day.

ReplyDeleteOh, my...what beautiful things to take beautiful photos of. I love every single one of them. Thanks so much for sharing these with us.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful views! Thanks for reminding me why I love Italy as a holiday spot!
ReplyDeleteThese photos have cheered me up no end as I am about to fall into bed. We have putting up new ceilings and insulation today and I am pretty exhausted. The insulation is a nightmare, gets into everything. I have several days of this to go with only a break on Sunday. That will have to spent in the garden! Diane
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely walk you had there, Linda, with some really good photos for us to look at. It's funny, but since I've been blogging, I'm always looking out for a good photo opportunity! Like you, I shall be spending much more time outside now that the weather is getting better. Sending you warm wishes.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. Big thanks for sharing the flower ones, as you know I don't get to see spring flowers here as we don't have spring. 3 seasons - hot, very hot, and dust.
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to live in such a gorgeous place. Love that field of gold. Are those dandelions? They look beautiful. It's too bad that here we would never allow them to spread so widely.
ReplyDeleteYou live in such a beautiful place! Wow!
ReplyDeleteMontefiascone looks like it is from a fairy tale. What a beautiful place.
