San Valentino - Valentines Day
I have written about Valentines Day on previous occasions so if you are interested in romantic music or traditions please check these old posts.
Romantic Songs Traditions or San Valentino - Wikipedia for the History of Valentines Day in Italy
Valentines Day in Italy is a highly commercialised event with the shops full of special gifts and many restaurants will have special menus this evening.
The best Valentine Day present that we could possible have hoped for arrived at 8.30am, our much needed Gas Delivery. I think we would have run out completely today as the dial was reading 2%, so it arrived in the nick of time. See yesterday's post if you have no idea what I am talking about!
What A Week
Sending Love and Happiness to you all.

I hope you have a lovely St. Valentine's Day, Linda. And I'm so glad your gas arrived! What a perfectly timed blessing. I hope you had a nice winter holiday and I'm glad you're back on your blog. I've been tied up with my mom of late so haven't been blogging so much but I'm trying to stay connected. Love your winter header and all your beautiful photos.

You certainly have had a lot of snow! It's always harder when a whole society is not prepared for it.
ReplyDeleteKeep warm!
Enjoy the "hearty" cappuccino in your warm house. Thank goodness for the gas delivery.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photographs. Glad you shall have heat - indeed a good Valentine's Day gift.

Great Valentines gift, gas!! Not the most romantic but this year probably a lot more important than flowers and chocolates!!! Have a great day, love Jackie in Surrey, UK.
ReplyDeletehappy valentines day, that is a great gift,, such bad weather you have had , hopefully the worst is past.
ReplyDeleteSo glad your gas arrived - cut it pretty close there, didn't it? I guess they've been very busy with lots of deliveries. no special plans here - just waiting for a special delivery - baby grandson past due.
ReplyDeleteMa che bel cappuccino! FELICE SAN VALENTINO, LINDY!
ReplyDeleteThings must be looking up... you have fuel! Spring will be with you very soon and all the ice and snow will be just a little bit more than a bad dream...
Enjoy Valentine's Day!

snowing in pisticci again today. have a good valentines day.
ReplyDeleteGood to know that your gas has arrived and you can have a lovely cosy valentines day. Lets hope the forecast is right and the weather will get warmer from tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWonderful that the gas arrived, finally. Life is full of surprises and challenges every day. I recently waited for much needed medication for four weeks. I almost ran out. I do not one thing for Valentines day-my post today is about a cemetery and dying. I do like the image of the heart in the froth very much♥
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day! So glad you will be warm and cozy. ♥ ♥
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you popped into the whistlestop cafe... Now I know that you are here!
ReplyDeleteY'all have been really hit with the snow this year. Stay warm!
~love the ♥ in the snow
Fabulous captures Lindy Lou, especially love your header! I also like your snowfall "gauge" - the terrace table. While you are experiencing the depths of winter, we are sweltering under temperatures in the high 30's (Centigrade), so your pictures bring at least some mental/visual relief! Thanks for sharing. Keep warm.
ReplyDeleteWonderful, I love with this heart-shaped, sweet and cold. Greetings.
ReplyDeleteBuon San Valentino a te, Linda.
ReplyDeleteP.S.: Bellissima la nuova foto dell'header!
I'd have been delighted with a Valentine's gas delivery too, wonder what that says about us both. Keep cosy.
ReplyDeleteSo San Valentino accomplished a miracle and didn't warm just your heart, LOL! Love your pictures!
ReplyDeleteI heard this saying on the radio this morning :
"A san Valentino la primavera è più vicino..." :-)

ReplyDeleteLove these little hearts LindyLou, and I am so glad your fuel arrived.
ReplyDeleteSurely sounds like it was just in time!
Stay warm!!
love the hearts and happy belated v-day to you too :)
ReplyDeleteMy goodness look at that ice in your banner! Stunning photo - hope the weather is improving there too!

Apparently Valentine's day also moved into Italy ! When Mr. G left Italy in the 60th it didn't exist and in Germany neither. So we never celebrated it. In Belgium it moved in a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteI thought you were still gone, because your posts didn't show up in my Google reader, so now scrolling through your posts I see you had a lot of snow ! We only had a very little but it was the coldest winter in Belgium since 70 years, with temperatures from - 15 to - 20°. For some people it was a drama their heating was not enough.
That cup of coffee looks delicious - I hope you enjoyed it!!!
ReplyDeleteSuddenly I feel very thirsty! :)
ReplyDeleteMmm, that drink looks so marvelously creamy and warm, Linda. :-)
ReplyDeleteYes Lindy-Lou it's very commercialized here as well ... Your co fife looks divine ...enjoy!
ReplyDelete♥ very nice ♥
