At long last the snow has all gone, certainly from our garden, although there are a few piles of snow moved into large heaps around the district, but looking very messy and not worthy of a photograph. However I thought you might be interested to see the lingering snow from last weekend.
Hopefully this weekend will see a very different scene as today it is 17C with glorious sunshine, our daffodils are coming into bloom and it feels like Spring is in the air.
We plan to get some gardening done, what ever your own plans are have a lovely weekend.

Spring is just around the corner when you start seeing the Daffodils. I can't wait to see your gardens.
ReplyDeleteThe center photo is so beautiful with the house and that beautiful tree on top. Enjoy gardening! Hope to see photos of your gardens - your photos of them always look so gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWe too have a lovely sunny day here. The daffodils have survived the snow and frost, I have one in bloom in the back garden and if the good weather continues hopefully the others will be out soon. Hoping to get out in the garden this weekend for the first cut of the grass.
ReplyDeleteLets hope there is no more snow at home and in Italy. Have a good weekend, love Jackie in Surrey, UK.x
I am not sure what time of the year it is here: yesterday we had +22C, and today they forecast below 0C. I am confused along with all my vegetables in the greenhouse! But I am going to do some gardening and cooking this weekend. Maybe some traveling too, short one.
ReplyDeleteThe daffodils always bring cheer. It is my favourite time of year. The orange blossom is starting to perfume the air here in Florida. It has been a beautiful winter however, one can tell Spring by the shade of green in the foliage.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to a weekend of being outdoors
Helen xx
Lets hope these photos (though they are of course very nice) are the last ones of cold and grey weather for the season. It's warmed up here too and it's unbelievable how happy some sunshine makes me feel. Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the daffodils. xo
ReplyDeleteI awoke to a little suprise this morning. Snow! It has been a very unusual winter here in New England. Early blizzard on October 29th leaving 12 inches of snow and then unseasonably mild for the rest of this winter. I can wait until summer!
ReplyDeletewow. The spring almost arrives and you see many greens. :)
ReplyDeleteWow 17C we are only about 7C that is not fair:) It is grey damp and dreary here!! It looks like Monday may change, but they only forecast temperatures at the highest going up to 14C. I want to get out in the garden and that may just be warm enough to work in. Keep well, have a good weekend. Diane
ReplyDeleteMost of the snow has melted here in our area of France, but the bitter cold seems to e here to stay for a while!
ReplyDeleteHi Lindy! Spring is just round the corner. This morning I noticed that my huge camellia had a few flowers on it and that some of my daffodils are almost out, the birds are singing very loudly and there's something special in the air!
ReplyDeleteSpring is coming, Lindy!

Lovely collage! I wish you a beautiful spring . And thank you for answering my question about the winter weather this year! Hope it doesn't happen to you again for years.
ReplyDelete17C in the UK yesterday!Spring is sprung - I hope...
ReplyDeleteOh at last - Spring is on its way. It has been a long winter.
ReplyDeleteThat was a quick turnaround! Enjoy the daffodils.
ReplyDelete38 degrees here in Melbourne today - may stay indoors with the cooling on.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that spring is on the way. 17 degrees sounds fantastic. We're expecting lots of snow this weekend. Your collage is lovely!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty photos on your lovely view! I hope you have a sunny weekend! We plan to go to an art show tomorrow and I'm looking forward to that! ♥
ReplyDeleteIt has felt like spring here the past week or two; but now we are in the midst of a snow storm. I guess it's not quite over yet. :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend!
Very nice photos of your town!!! lovely nature!

I'm hoping this will be the last of the snow - I'm ready for Spring to arrive! Hope you are doing well....enjoy the sunshine this weekend :)
ReplyDeleteOur snow has gone too, and I need to start doing some gardening, but the weather is still so gray and clammy ... my fireplace seems a better place to be today! Hopefully, tomorrow we'll see some real sunshine. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt looks as though things are beginning to return to normal for you. We'll be in the garden today too - dealing with yet more deadfall from 90 km/hr winds. It's normal at this time of year, and I always marvel that there are any branches left to fall.
ReplyDeleteWonderful melting snow and a beautiful Mosaic. Great work !
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend ! Kind regards, Synnöve
I love the beauty of this mosaic with beautiful scenery.
ReplyDeleteHappy gardening then :) don't work too much hard :)

Lovely photo's, enjoy your gardening this weekend!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Annx
Spring is on his way, Lindy Lou and I love your mosaic!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend.
Greetings from Holland,
Anna :-))
Landscape is a bit messy but spring is next to come, also here in the north! Have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteLove your collage. mosaic as you've captured the beautiful landscape and sky so well. You had so much snow from what I saw on the television but yet it disappeared so quickly. I think winters are much shorter in Europe than they are in Canada. We won't have gardening for another few months.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots in this mosaic.
ReplyDeleteWe have had no snow this year, which is unusual for us! I do love spring, not too hot and not too cold. Love the photos as always :)
ReplyDeleteWe didn't have a lot of snow this year, not even enough to make a snowman ! Now it's warmer, but spring is not yet in the air !
ReplyDeleteHowever nicely it's photographed I do not like the greyness of winter. Looking forward to your daffodil pics next week :)
ReplyDeleteI found your blog while looking at Leovi's abstracts from the I Heart Macro post. My sister and I are traveling to Italy this fall and so to follow along w/your blog will be fun! Great photos, too, by the way!
ReplyDeleteThere has been beautiful sunshine here all weekend and it feels like we're on the edge of Spring.
ReplyDeleteYou were absolutely right - you had much more snow than we did in Canada. All these natural anomalies continue to surprise us.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you have finally got rid of your snow. It's so green there...I am sure the snow helped. Happy Gardening!
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a great weekend! We had warm weather for weeks and today it's cold and rainy...we need the rain for sure! I can't wait for spring!
ReplyDeleteDebbie
Love our photo collage. Looks like you live in a fabulous place.
ReplyDeleteEven with little patches of snow instead of a blanket, it is SO pretty, Linda. :-) How I love your little part of the world. :-)
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful Lindy! Mother Nature has been such a tease here. One day it's gorgeous and then (like right now) it is snowing. Won't last long though. My daffodils are coming up, but will be a while before they bloom. I am longing for Spring!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jann
We have had a good snowfall here a few weeks ago, which lasted for a couple of days. As it meant staying home and not going to school, my kids loved it, and so did I! They now pray for one more snow day before Spring settles in. I absolutely love this time of the year when the first signs of Spring appear! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and comment. Have a lovely time!
ReplyDeleteIt was bitterly cold in London for a few weeks, too, but now Spring seems to have sprung. Fingers crossed it stays.
ReplyDeleteWe've already finished pruning the fruit trees and are just waiting until it stays warm for good! I have a feeling that this warmth is premature.
ReplyDeleteSpring seems to have already arrived here in California although we are expecting some much-needed rain tonight and tomorrow. Enjoy the first signs of springtime! Thanks for dropping by.
ReplyDeleteYou really did have a cold winter. I may sound smug :) but this winter has been the mildest and shortest, since I moved to Ireland in 2006. And dry. I didn't see one snowflake which, in my books, is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI really am a Summer Baby :)
